Reasons For Suspension

  • 1.1 Policy Violations:
  • Ad accounts are commonly suspended/disapproved for running ads on prohibited products or services (e.g., skin care products, hair care products, SIM cards, adult content, etc), using misleading or deceptive information, or violating intellectual property rights by using unauthorized copyright and trademark material.
  • 1.2 Spam / Suspicious History:
  • Most of the accounts get suspended due to the spam history. This could be of the advertisers themselves, landing pages, websites, creative videos, or products.

  • Spam history refers to the use of content, websites, or products that have been frequently utilized by the advertisers on TikTok and have resulted in suspensions due to violations. When a new user uses the same content, product, TikTok's system flags it as spam based on its prior history and suspends the new account.
  • 1.3 Unapproved Product Link:
  • Running ads on unapproved products. (If running ads through an Adreach Agency Account. You must approve your product before running ads on the platform, and the product link should be copied from the dashboard. If there is a minor difference in the URL, the product will be considered unapproved and lead to the account suspension.
  • 📌Often, users keep the "Automatic Add Parameters" toggle on at the ad level while entering the URL, which automatically adds the parameters.
  • When a URL parameter is added, it changes the URL. This can promote unapproved products and lead to account suspension.
  • 1.4 Using Third-Party Creative Videos:
  • Using creatives from third-party platforms like Alibaba, Ali Express, etc, and the creative content that users previously used has been used by other advertisers to scam people. TikTok also gathers evidence about copied content and automatically detects when creatives have been reused.
  • 1.5 Ad Targeting Policy:
  • Ads must be targeted to users aged 18 and above in compliance with TikTok’s advertising guidelines. Targeting users under the age of 18 leads to the ad account suspension.

2. Landing Page Policy Violations Leading to Suspension

  • 2.1 Avoid Frequent Edits to Landing Pages:
  • Do not make changes to your landing page while a campaign is active. TikTok flags sudden changes as suspicious activity, which can lead to immediate ad account suspension. Always pause the campaign before making any edits to your site or funnel.
  • 2.2 Discount Limits (Max 50%)
  • Do not display discounts exceeding 50% off (e.g., 70% OFF). TikTok considers excessive discounts a deceptive practice, and it may result in ad rejection or account suspension. Keep your pricing realistic and transparent.
  • 2.3 Invalid or Missing Business Information:
  • The landing page does not display essential information such as:
  • Privacy policies, Refund policies, Shipping policies, Terms and conditions, Business license details (if applicable for the industry, e.g., Traditional Clothing, Medical products, Skin care Products.
  • 2.4 Non-Mobile-Friendly Landing Page:
  • The landing page is not optimized for mobile devices, leading to poor user experience on mobile platforms.
  • 2.5 Prohibited Products on the Landing Page:
  • The landing page features products or services that are prohibited under TikTok's advertising policies (e.g., counterfeit goods, banned substances).
  • 2.6 Sensitive Information Requests:
  • The landing page requires visitors to provide sensitive information, such as:
  • Credit card details, banking information, and personal data.
  • 2.7 Misleading or Inappropriate Content:
  • The landing page contains misleading, inaccurate, or inappropriate information.
  • 2.8 The promoted landing page does not function properly:
  • Websites that do not function properly or come up as a 404 page.
  • Websites that do not contain contact info.
  • 2.9 Target Location Language Misalignment:
  • The languages used on the landing page do not align with the acceptable languages in either of the targeted locations. For example, if you target Pakistan, the language displayed on your landing page, creative video, and ad text should be in Pure Urdu or the official language, English.   • Any changes made to the landing page after an ad is launched can result in a risk of account suspension. It is essential to ensure that the landing page remains consistent with the approved ad content to comply with platform policies.

3. Ad Video And Ad Text Policy Violation Leading to Suspension

  • 3.1 The ad makes exaggerated, overstated, or misleading claims about product performance.
  • Ads must not make unrealistic claims (e.g., 100% natural herbal cream cures all diseases).
  • 3.2 Issues with the ad's text or caption.
  • Ads contain spelling errors or grammar mistakes, excessive or distracting capitalization (e.g., "S.a.L.e."), and use symbols in place of letters like "S@le"
  • Incomplete text in videos/pictures.
  • Text/logos that have been covered by stickers.
  • Using WhatsApp numbers in the ad text and video.
  • 3.3 Issues with video, image, or audio quality
  • Low-resolution, blurry visuals, or parts of the video covered with black bars or pixelation.
  • The video does not have any audio or sound. Or the audio quality is so poor that it is difficult to understand.
  • 3.4 The products and prices in the ad are not consistent
  • The ad is irrelevant to the product's website. For example, the ad introduces product A in the image/video, but shows product B on the website.
  • The ad states there is a discount of up to 50% off, but the website states there is only a discount of up to 30% off
  • 3.5 Irrelevant Content or Vague Website
  • The website is too vague to determine if the ad is relevant to the products featured on the promoted website.
  • 3.6 The ad contains a third-party logo/Watermark.
  • The display name in the ad does not match the branding on the landing page.
  • The ads display TikTok/social media apps (Facebook, Instagram etc) watermarks and logos.
  • 3.7 Target Location Language Misalignment:
  • The languages used in the ad's text, captions, or spoken words do not match the acceptable languages for all the targeted countries/regions.
